How Does It Work?
The CEREPEN creates temporary micro punctures in the stratum corneum in a controlled manner. This forms a controlled skin lesion without actually damaging the skin, which then starts the wound healing process. This process releases various growth factors such as platelet-derived growth factor, transforming growth factor alpha and beta, connective tissue-activating protein, connective tissue growth factor and fibroblast growth factor. The micro-channels heal according to the three classical phases of wound healing and illustrate how microneedling works.
