How many skin peel treatments will I need?

We usually recommend a course of 3 treatments, spaced around 1 month apart, followed by occasional maintenance depending on your skin goals.

Which skin peel should I choose?

You do not need to choose on your own. We offer 7 peel options and will advise you on the day, selecting the most suitable peel for your skin concerns and goals.

Is there any downtime after a skin peel?

Downtime is usually minimal. Your skin may feel a little tingly after treatment and can look slightly pink or feel sensitive for a couple of days, but this is usually mild.

What is the aftercare following a skin peel?

Avoid hot treatments, steam rooms, heavy sweating, exercise, swimming and saunas for 3 days after treatment. Wear SPF 50 daily, minimise sun exposure and keep your skincare gentle while your skin settles.

Are there any products I should avoid before and after a skin peel?

Yes. Avoid retinol, Vitamin A creams and strong active products for 5–7 days after treatment, and ideally for 1 week before treatment too. A bland post-care cream such as La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5, Avène Cicalfate+ or Cetaphil moisturiser is ideal.

Should I avoid sun exposure before and after a peel?

Yes. Avoid sun exposure for 1 week before and 1 week after treatment, as this can increase the risk of pigmentation. Daily SPF 50 is essential.

Can I wear makeup after a skin peel?

Yes, the next day is usually fine. Mineral foundation or powder is preferred.

Can I go on holiday after a skin peel?

Yes, but it is best to wait 7–10 days if possible. Wear a hat and SPF 50, and be especially careful with sun exposure.

Can I have a peel if I am taking Accutane or photosensitising medication?

Accutane and photosensitising drugs should be discontinued for a period of 6 months before treatment.
